Dear Colleagues and Readers of
the Polish Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry,

As in previous years, the contents of this last issue of the publishing year revolve around the Third Congress of the Polish Geriatric Psychiatry Association, which will be held here in Wroclaw, 7-8 December 2006. In preparing the program for this year’s congress, the organizers have focused on new challenges in the diagnosis and treatment of the dementias, and by the same token on updating general knowledge on this subject.
